Place Leoric's crown on the Skeleton King Head up the stairs and approach the throne where the king's body can be found. Place the crown on his head, bringing him back to life and starting a boss battle.
Start: Enter Catacombs Level 8, search for 3 Spell Tomes to read in order (N/E/W) so a path opens up, and read the Arcane Tome. Task: Use the telepad above the Arcane Tome to reach Horazon's Sanctum, here at the end of a path you find 2 adjacent rooms, one has the Creature of Flame Tome and if you read it you can face an elemental, and the other room has a Tome of Knowledge and a mage you can.
Leoric is a strong pick on Maps where the game lasts long enough to reach Level 20 and unlock Buried Alive and/or where double soaking is strong (notably Towers of Doom where you can count on both). Additionally, Leoric is a good pick on Maps where your team requires a solid solo laner with good self-sustain and waveclear.

Leoric's Manor is where Leoric himself resided during life, and lies within Leoric's Hunting Grounds in the Highlands or Sanctuary.

There is usually a Shrine somewhere in the courtyard but kill the monsters before clicking the shrine and going in to the Manor.Check the fireplace at the back of the room on the right hand side of the hallway. Here you may find some burnt logs which will turn out to be Leoric's Shinbone (db). This is a component needed to craft the Staff of Herding for the secret level Whimsyshire.

Checkpoints[edit edit source]

Checkpoints are respawn points. Players who die appear back at the last checkpoint they reached. Players can also leave the game and resume at the last checkpoint at a later date. In effect they are a 'save game' feature. The following Checkpoints appear in Leoric's Manor

Waypoint[edit edit source]

Waypoints are special plates on the ground that form a network of jump points allowing players to instantly teleport between them. The nearest waypoint for Leoric's Manor appears through the very back doors beyond Maghda. It appears in the same place every time.
